Serving Those Who Serve Us
The International Union of Police Officers (IUPO) was founded in 1986 by an upstate New York police sergeant who wanted more connections in the law enforcement community. The goal of the IUPO is to raise awareness about the honorable nature of policing and counter anti-police rhetoric by spreading awareness. The IUPO is open to both sworn members of law enforcement as well as civilian supporters.
