Since our founding in Binghamton, New York, in 1986 to today, the International Union of Police Officers has grown to become a serious and commanding voice in law enforcement. With more than 250 local programs across the United States, we are committed to the belief that law enforcement officers need a network of peers and supporters to have their back during uncertain times.

The International Union of Police Officers was founded and continues to operate as a social organization. You have a voice and vote in all matters in your local chapter. You, the members, through your local chapters, direct the efforts of the IUPO. You decide what programs and benefits are right for you.  Whether in labor, legislation, education or fraternalism, the International Union of Police Officers has a wealth of benefits to offer.

Simply fill out an application on the join now page, select the membership tier which you are interested in and pay the application fee and initial membership dues.

Any sworn law enforcement officer, former law enforcement officer, security officer or civilian who strongly supports the police may become a member. Members must agree to follow all laws of the United States and it’s territories.

No, the International Union of Police Officers is a social organization. Membership dues, merchandise purchases and other payments made to the IUPO are non tax deductible.

The International Union of Police Officers exists to spread awareness about the honorable nature of the policing profession and to counter anti-police public opinions by spreading positive pro-police messaging. Members can show their support for law enforcement through bumper stickers, wallet badges and clothing.

The International Union of Police Officers is incorporated and receives mail in Delaware, United States. As an international organization we proudly welcome members from anywhere in the world.
